Biography
Manuela Pompas, a professional journalist and editor of the magazine Gioia for over thirty years, is considered one of the most important popularisers of psychic research and New Age ideas in Italy. Her aim has always been to put forward issues linked to the individual’s profound consciousness. She has followed a similar path to many American scholars, who have interrupted their study of psychic phenomena over the last few years, in order to allow them to study altered states of consciousness and the development of human potential in greater depth. With this in mind, she has studied the techniques linked to traditional and transpersonal psychology, holistic medicine and humanistic disciplines (bodily psychotherapy).
